Appeals Sub-Committee

As Members of the Complaints Sub-Committee are excluded from serving on this Sub-Committee the nominations include some Members who do not serve on the Finance, Audit and Resources Committee. For hearings it is recommended that a minimum of three and maximum of five Members be chosen.

Terms of Reference

The hearing of appeals from civilian employees against disciplinary action, including dismissal.

To provide a Police Authority representative on a rotational basis on Police Appeals Tribunals constituted under the Police Act 1996 and the Police Appeals Tribunals Rules 1999.

Chair: Councillor D Southwell (Elected Member)

Elected Members: Councillor M Campbell, Councillor L Hovvels, Councillor B Dixon, Councillor B Myers and Councillor A Laing

Independent Members: Ms K Larkin-Bramley and Mr T Thompson.
