Profile

Mr Vaulks was born on the 15 April 1947 and was educated at the local primary school and Spennymoor Grammar Technical School before attending Durham Technical College to study accountancy. He is a qualified accountant becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in 1970.

He has been a member of the National Probation service in Durham County since April 2007 and has previously served as a school governor of primary and secondary schools. He is currently an advisor to Cornforth Partnership and was formerly Director of Finance (1981 to 1996) and Chief Executive Officer (1996 to 2006) of Sedgefield Borough Council.
