Involving Our CommunitiesHave Your SayDurham Police Authority has a responsibility to maintain an efficient and effective police force in County Durham and Darlington. To inform the future direction of policing services we welcome your views on issues of Reassurance, Visibility and Accessibility. These issues have been identified by the police authority and the force as important to reducing people's experience and fear of crime and anti-social behaviour. Examples of anti-social behaviour include nuisance neighbours, rowdy young people and graffiti, litter and vandalism that can 'create the impression of an area un-policed and unsafe'. The Government has stated that 'whilst the number of people to have direct experience as a victim of serious crime is comparatively few, for many people the experience of incivility and anti-social behaviour is a daily one'. The Police Authority and the Chief Constable are committed to community consultation as a means of identifying priorities and improving services. Online SurveysThe results from our Online Surveys will enable us to build a clear picture of what the public think about the police and what they want from us in the future. Please take the time to complete and submit our survey. | |||
